Terms of Service

1. The short version

1. Accept these terms before using public features like chat, emotes, posting, or streaming.

2. You must be 18 or older and keep your account secure.

3. You own your content and give us permission to host and display it.

4. No illegal, harmful, abusive, or automated abuse of the platform.

5. Staff can moderate, suspend, or remove accounts that break the rules.

6. Credits and tips are platform only, have no cash value, and are non-refundable.

7. Artists own their music and must have rights to everything they upload.

8. Business accounts are paid, separate, and never promoted by staff.

9. Features and terms can change; continued use means you accept updates.

10. Use the service at your own risk; you can delete your account any time.

11. Send questions, takedowns, appeals, and business requests through the inquiry form.

2. Your account

You must be 18 years or older to sign up. Accounts belonging to anyone under 18 will be removed.

You're responsible for your login and everything that happens on your account. Keep your password private and tell us if something looks wrong.

One person, one account. Don't impersonate anyone, and don't pick a username designed to confuse other users or staff.

3. Your content stays yours

You keep ownership of the desktops, icons, emoji, photos, links, music, and streams you upload.

You grant DeskyTop.App a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, resize, cache, and display your content so the product can work, for example generating 64x64 icons, downscaling album photos, or showing a preview when someone shares your desky link.

You promise you have the rights to what you upload. Don't post music, art, or video you don't own or have permission to use.

4. Rules of the desktop

No illegal content, sexual content involving minors, credible threats, doxxing, targeted harassment, hate speech, malware, phishing links, or spam.

No scraping, load testing, reverse engineering, or automated abuse of the site or its APIs.

No pretending to be staff, and no attempts to reach data or dashboards that aren't yours.

Streams and chat are moderated. Automod plus staff review can hide content, and reports from other users are reviewed.

5. Reports, moderation, and suspension

Any user can report an account or a post. Staff may remove content, reset a desktop, revoke artist verification, or suspend accounts that break these terms.

Serious or repeated violations can mean permanent removal without notice. If you think a decision was wrong, reply to the moderation notice and staff will take another look.

6. Credits, loyalty, and tips

Credits, XP, and loyalty rewards are earned through interaction. They have no cash value, are not property, and cannot be sold or transferred off the platform.

Tips and payments to streamers are voluntary and generally non-refundable. We may reverse balances gained through fraud, bugs, or abuse.

7. Music and artist uploads

Verified artists can host songs on DeskyTop. Upload limits scale with followers, and staff may remove tracks that infringe someone else's rights.

If you believe your work was posted without permission, contact us with the track link and proof of ownership and we'll act on it.

8. Businesses on DeskyTop

DeskyTop is built for people, not brands. Personal accounts are free forever and must be personal.

If you want to run an account for a business, a label, a shop, or any other organisation, a business account is 10,000 USD per calendar year. Payment is non-refundable, including partial years and early closures.

We do not promote businesses from inside the platform: no boosted placement, no paid features on Discover, no staff endorsements. We let the people speak for the business. If people do not like it, it will not succeed here.

Businesses of any type are welcome, and so is originality. Just come with good content, creativity, and community.

Running a business on a personal account is a violation and can mean removal without a refund. Use the business inquiry form at the bottom of the DeskyTop.App homepage to set up a business account.

9. Availability and changes

DeskyTop.App is provided as-is. Features can change, and downtime happens. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

We may update these terms as the product grows. Meaningful changes will be announced in the app, and continuing to use DeskyTop.App means you accept the updated terms.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, DeskyTop.App isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost content, or lost earnings arising from your use of the service.

You can stop using DeskyTop.App at any time and delete your account from Studio.

11. Contact

Questions, takedowns, moderation appeals, and business inquiries all go through the inquiry form at the bottom of the DeskyTop.App homepage. It lands in our support inbox and we reply to the email you provide.
